We serve a set menu based on the freshest local produce but, of course, can accommodate any special dietary requirements. Please let us know at time of booking.
Our €32 menu comprises pre-dinner canapés, mise en bouche, starter,main and dessert. (A cheese course is available for €4. Wines from €17)
The kitchen is always gluten free but we also serve traditional breads.
In good weather outside dining on the terrace to the rear of the Chateau is a unique experience.
Dinner is served at 8pm and Lunch at 1.00pm The bar opens 1 hour before service for dinner and at 12.30pm on Sundays.
The Chateau is a perfect place to celebrate a special event in style.
For groups of up to 20, you can hold private dinner party at the Chateau with a tailor made menu.

Our wines have been hand-picked to provide a range for all palates with an emphasis firmly on quality and value. Taking full advantage of our proximity to the great wine-making regions of Bordeaux and Bergerac we aim to showcase the wines of the best smaller producers from these areas as well as Burgundy/Beaujolais, the Loire, Languedoc-Rousillon and Cahors.
Dealing directly with experienced négociants and wine-makers, we have selected a range of lovingly crafted, small domaine wines of the highest quality.
Bergerac wines feature prominently as the best definitely fulfil the criteria of great quality and great value. Our favourite producers are Château les Miaudoux, Château Le Chabrier,Château Moulin Caresse and Château Cluzeau.
From Fronsac we have Château de Villars 2004 and Château Puy Guilhem 2004 . Both are classic right-bank style Bordeaux wines that we discovered last year and proved to be very popular - not just because of the name but because these are beautifully crafted, medal-winning wines from established family run estates.
Chateau de Villars is located in Villars, 15 minutes from Brantome and St. Jean de Cole and 20 minutes from Nontron or Thiviers.
Set back from the main road through Villars, (look out for the alley of Horse Chestnut trees) the Chateau enjoys a tranquil parkland setting.
The terrace to the rear is ideal for a pre-dinner cocktail or after dinner digestif and offers al freso dining in good weather.
